| CUB CAMP WOODSTOCK 2004 | 25th June 2004 |
| On Friday the 25th of June 20 Cubs and 6 Cub Leaders left Graiguenamanagh for the Woodstock Camp Site in Inistioge on their First Cub Camp. We settled in and were well entertained with archery lessons for all the Cubs that night was very wet and windy and there was a lot of drying out on Saturday morning, when eventuall the sun shone through. trips through Woodstock Gardens, the archery and most popular of all, the Water Slide kept us all going all day. We had a very entertaining campfire sing-song both Friday and Sadurday nights with both Cubs and Leaders displaying unknown talents. Sunday morning was packing up, cleaning up time and with time to spare before going home another chance at the Water Slide. the parents arrived and certificates were presented to the participants. This weekend would not have been the success it was without the organisation and hard work of two Scouts, Daniel and Robbie who undertook the complete task, as part of the Chief Scout Award. We will be forever in their debt and wish them the very best with the rest of their challenges for the Award. |
