DISTRICT ORIENTEERING19th October 2002
The District Orienteering Competition was held in the woods surrounding Jenkinstown Castle. The course was spread throughout the woods and the check points were very well hidden, so it took a bit of effort to find them. We had 1 group who came in 1st place in a record time of 31.74 mins and another group who came in 6th. This put us in a strong position for the district trophy, as the 3 best times were taken from each group to decide the overall winner. We won the overall prize for the event and once again brought home the cup to Graiguenamanagh.
